Miss Anjali Vinodya Ramachandra, the Winner of the Best Model of the World - SL paegant represented Sri Lanka at the Best Model of the World 2018 International Contest and secured the place of 2nd Runner Up for the first time in Sri Lankan Model History (female). This year's contest was held in Turkey, for the 31st consecutive year. She also won the Awards for the Best National Costume and the Best Evening Gown.
